Why is the $99 monthly retainer required?
Because a website is not a thing you buy once. It has to be hosted, secured, updated, monitored and kept fast and search-ready, or it quietly decays and starts costing you customers. The retainer covers all of that, your Google Business Profile kept current, and any change you need made within 24 hours. It is part of the deal rather than an upsell, and the build is priced lower precisely because it exists. It runs for as long as your site is live with us, because it is the thing keeping it live. What it is not is a lock-in: there is no minimum term. End it with 30 days' notice, the site comes off our hosting, and we hand over a full export of the code and content, free. It is custom code, so running it somewhere else takes a developer. The price also goes down the longer you stay: $99 in year one, then $9 less every year, until Care is free from year twelve, for our first 99 clients.
How long does this take, and what do you need from me?
Nine calendar days. The clock starts the day your content lands rather than the day you pay, and you get the launch date in writing before anything begins. It takes roughly an hour of your time in total. We need a real conversation about your business, whatever logo and photos you already have, and your services and hours. You see the finished site before it ever goes live, and changes to your pages are unlimited during the build, with no round counter, so nothing launches that you are not proud of. A new page or a second language moves the launch date, never the price. We handle everything else.
Do I own my website?
Yes. Once the project is paid in full, the design and the custom code are yours, and your domain is in your name from the first day. If you ever move on, we hand over a full export so nothing is held hostage.
I have been burned by a web designer before. Why is this different?
Because almost every one of those stories has the same shape: someone took a deposit, went quiet, missed the date, and disappeared once the invoice cleared. So we built the opposite. You get a fixed price before anything starts, a preview before it goes live, and a studio that stays on retainer long after launch because that is where the relationship actually is. We are an independent studio, based in Miami and working with businesses across the US, and our reputation is worth far more to us than any single project.
I already have a website. Is replacing it worth it?
Sometimes it is not, and we will tell you so. If the bones are good, we would rather fix what is broken than sell you something you do not need. But if your site is slow, hard to use on a phone, or impossible to book from, it is costing you more every month than replacing it would.
Will AI search find my business?
ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers read websites much as search engines do, and they can only describe your business correctly if they can understand it. Every Ninewave site ships with structured data that spells out your business, services, hours, area and common questions, on fast pages built from clean code, so these tools have the facts in a form they can read. What nobody can honestly promise is that an AI will recommend you, or where you will rank: that depends on your competition, your reviews and what people search for. What we make sure of is that nothing on your site is in the way. Care keeps checking after launch: every month we ask Google and ChatGPT the questions your customers ask, see what they say about your business, and correct any wrong facts where they come from, on your site, your Google profile and the listings they read. You see what they said in your monthly report.
Does Care ever get cheaper?
Every year you stay, your Care price drops by $9 a month, automatically: $99 in year one, $90 in year two, $81 in year three, and so on, until from year twelve Care is free, hosting, changes and all, for as long as your site is with us. It is how we reward loyalty, and it is offered to our first 99 clients. Care includes your hosting, so it runs for as long as your site is with us; there is no minimum term, and if you leave we hand over a full export of the code and content, free.
