Websites · Accountants, tax & insurance
Earn their trust before the first call.
People hand an accountant or an agent their finances, so they check you out first. Ninewave builds websites for accountants, bookkeepers, tax preparers and independent insurance agents that say who you serve, what you do and how to start, with a number that dials and nothing that looks left behind.

The short answer
Who builds websites for accountants and insurance agents?
Ninewave builds websites for independent accountants, bookkeepers, tax preparers and insurance agents across the US: custom made, clear about who you serve, a number that dials on every screen and a link to your secure portal. Never more than $999, live nine days after your content arrives, then $99 a month for Care: required, no minimum term, free full export if you leave.
Who you serve, up front
Individuals, small businesses, one trade or one niche: the first screen says it, so the right clients recognise themselves.
Services, and how you charge
Returns, bookkeeping, payroll, policies: listed plainly, with how pricing works, so nobody has to call just to ask.
Ready for tax season
Deadlines, a document checklist and a busy-season note, changed through Care when the season turns.
Documents go to your portal
A link to the secure client portal you already use. Never a website form, never plain email.
What usually goes wrong
A site that looks a few years old
An old copyright year or last season's deadline tells a careful reader the site is not looked after. In a business built on attention to detail, they start to wonder what else is not.
No sense of who you are for
“Accounting and tax services” describes every firm in the country. A visitor who cannot tell whether you work with businesses like theirs moves on to one that says so.
Asking for documents the unsafe way
A website form or a plain email is the wrong place for a Social Security number or a tax return. A site that invites one puts the client at risk and puts you in an awkward position.
Questions
- Who builds websites for accountants and insurance agents?
- Ninewave builds websites for independent accountants, bookkeepers, tax preparers and insurance agents across the US: custom made, clear about who you serve, a number that dials on every screen and a link to your secure portal. Never more than $999, live nine days after your content arrives, then $99 a month for Care: required, no minimum term, free full export if you leave.
- Can clients upload documents through the site?
- Not through a website form, and we will talk you out of it. The site links to the secure portal you already use for files and signatures, so sensitive documents never pass through the website or an inbox. If you do not have a portal yet, choose one first and the site points to it.
- Can the site change for tax season?
- Yes, and that is part of what Care is for. A busy-season banner, new deadlines, a note that you are not taking new returns after a date: send it and it is changed. Out of season the same space can promote bookkeeping or planning work.
- We sell insurance. Can we list the carriers we work with?
- Yes, if your agreements allow it. Some carriers have rules about how their names and logos appear, so we use them only with your say-so. The site never quotes a premium or promises coverage; it explains what you place and starts the conversation.
- Should we show our fees?
- A starting price for a standard return, or a monthly range for bookkeeping, helps the right clients choose you and the wrong ones move on before taking up your time. For complex work, explain how you quote instead. A visitor who finds no sense of cost at all has to call just to ask, and some will not.
- Do we need a blog?
- Not to start. A few clear service pages do more than a blog that goes quiet. If you want to write, a short note before each deadline is worth more than a weekly post nobody has time for.

On 19 October 2026 I read the homepages of 4,258 independent small businesses in all 50 states and DC. 477 were accountants, bookkeepers, tax preparers and insurance agents, counted as one group. Of the 404 that show a phone number as text, about a third don't let you tap it.

Website Care is $99 a month for as long as the site is live with Ninewave. It is what keeps the site hosted, secure and updated, so it is not optional. No minimum term: end it with 30 days' notice, the site comes off our hosting and you get a full export, free.
