Make the first call easy to make.

Nobody browses for a lawyer for fun. They arrive worried, usually on a phone, often late. Ninewave builds websites for solo and small firms that say plainly what you handle and what happens when someone calls, and put the call one tap away.

This is Jon.He builds it, and still answers in year three.

The short answer

Who builds websites for small law firms?

Ninewave builds websites for solo and small law firms across the US: custom made, a page for each practice area, a number that dials on every screen, and copy you approve line by line. Never more than $999, live nine days after your content arrives, then $99 a month for Care: required, no minimum term, free full export if you leave.

Practice areas, plainly named

A page for each kind of matter you actually take, written in the words a client would use.

What happens after you call

The steps in order, so calling stops feeling like a commitment.

Intake that fits the work

A short form that asks only what a conflict check needs, and says clearly not to send details yet.

Copy you approve, line by line

Lawyer advertising is regulated state by state. Nothing goes live until you have read every word.

What usually goes wrong

A homepage about the firm, not the problem

Someone who has just been served or hurt wants to know whether you handle their kind of case. A homepage that leads with the firm's history makes them dig for the one answer they came for.

A number that will not dial

On a phone, a number written as plain text has to be memorised or copied before anyone can call it. For a worried person at eleven at night, that is one more reason to try the next firm.

Every practice area on one page

One long list reads as general practice and gives search engines nothing to match a specific question to. A page per area does both jobs: it reassures the client and it can be found.

Questions

Who builds websites for small law firms?
Ninewave builds websites for solo and small law firms across the US: custom made, a page for each practice area, a number that dials on every screen, and copy you approve line by line. Never more than $999, live nine days after your content arrives, then $99 a month for Care: required, no minimum term, free full export if you leave.
Will the site follow our state's advertising rules?
You know your rules, and you approve every word before anything goes live. We write conservatively by default: no “specialist” or “expert” unless you tell us you may use it, no past results or client testimonials unless you tell us your rules permit them, and the disclaimers your bar requires wherever it requires them. We are not lawyers and do not advise on the rules themselves.
Is the contact form safe for confidential information?
The form travels over https and lands in your inbox, but email is not where privileged details belong. So the form asks only what a conflict check needs (a name, the other party, the kind of matter) and says plainly not to send details until you have spoken. That protects the client, and it keeps you from receiving information before you have agreed to take anything on.
Can clients book a consultation online?
If you want them to. Some firms prefer a call first to screen for conflicts; others take a consultation booking with a short questionnaire. We set it up the way your intake already works, and the site says clearly that booking a consultation does not mean a matter has been accepted.
Do we need a Spanish version?
If you take Spanish-speaking clients, it is worth it, and it is rare: 39 of the 481 law firm homepages in my national study offered one. A translated page has to be checked by someone fluent, ideally you or your staff, because a mistranslated legal term is worse than none. The nine-day build is one language; a second moves the date, it never adds a charge.
Have you worked on a law firm site before?
Yes. The Graham Legal case study in the portfolio walks through the decisions on a civil trial firm's site, including the section that explains, step by step, what happens after someone calls.

What I found across the US

What I found on 481 law firm websites.

On 19 October 2026 I read the homepages of 4,258 independent small businesses in all 50 states and DC. 481 were law firms. Of the 406 that show a phone number as text, nearly three in ten don't let you tap it. And fewer than one in ten offer a Spanish version.

Website Care is $99 a month for as long as the site is live with Ninewave. It is what keeps the site hosted, secure and updated, so it is not optional. No minimum term: end it with 30 days' notice, the site comes off our hosting and you get a full export, free.
