The agreement

The whole deal, on one page.

This is everything you agree to when you work with me, in plain English, before you sign anything. You get the full written agreement before any work starts, and it says the same thing at more length. If the two ever differ, the signed agreement wins.

The build: Priced to what you need, and never more than $999. Nothing is priced per page. Half to start, and half when you approve the finished site, before it goes live on your domain.
What's in it: Up to eight pages in one language, designed for your business, not a template. As many changes as you like during the build. Anything new moves the launch date or goes into Care after launch. It never adds a charge.
When: Nine calendar days from the day your content is complete. The clock pauses while I'm waiting on you, and we agree the scheduled launch date in writing. The details are in the terms.
Website Care: $99 a month from launch, and $9 less on every anniversary until it's free from year twelve, for my first 99 clients. Care includes your hosting, so it's required for as long as I host your site.
What Care covers: Hosting, security, updates, backups and a weekly check of your site. Any change within 24 hours on business days. New pages, and a full redesign whenever you ask. Your Google Business Profile. A link and a printable card that ask your customers for Google reviews. And a short note every month on what happened.
Commitment: None. Care is month to month. End it with 30 days' written notice. Months already paid aren't refunded.
If you leave: Within 30 days I hand you a full copy of your site, the code and the content, free. It's custom code built for Ninewave's hosting, so running it elsewhere needs a developer to set it up. Your site stays online until you have it.
What you own: Your domain, registered in your name on your own card. Your words, photos and enquiries. And once the build is paid, the design and the code. I keep my own tools and building blocks, and you get a permanent licence to them as part of your site.
If you stop partway: The deposit isn't refunded once work has started. If the work done is worth more than the deposit, the difference is billed at $75 an hour.
If something's wrong: I fix any defect in my work you report within 30 days of launch, free. After that, Care covers it.
What I don't promise: Rankings, traffic, calls or sales. Google and the ad platforms run on rules nobody outside them controls. I promise the work, not the outcome.
Paying: By check or Zelle for now, and the invoice is your receipt. Invoices more than 15 days late accrue 1.5% a month.
