The short answer
A Wix site can't be exported, and Squarespace exports only part of one, so moving means rebuilding. I rebuild it with your words and photos, point every old page address at its new page so Google can follow, and leave your email alone. It costs the same as any build: never more than $999, then $99 a month for Care, hosting included.
01
Why moving is a rebuild
Wix's help center says Wix sites “must be hosted and operated on Wix's servers,” and to move one, “You will need to recreate the site on the new platform manually.”
Squarespace exports some content as a WordPress file. Its help page lists what stays behind, including store pages, style settings and custom CSS.
So nobody can lift your site off either one. Someone has to build it again. That's the part I do.

How a move works
- I list every page you have now, and its address, before I touch anything.
- I rebuild the site with your words and photos, designed for your business, up to eight pages in one language.
- Every old address points to its new page, so links people saved and the pages Google knows still land somewhere.
- Your domain stays yours. I point it at the new site by changing two records where it's registered. I never move your nameservers, so your email keeps working.
- You cancel the old plan last, once the new site is live and you've seen it working.

What it costs
The same as any build. Never more than $999 to build. Then $99 a month for Care: every change you ask for, my ideas, security and hosting. If you ever leave, the site comes off my servers and I hand you a full copy, free. It's all on one page.
When to stay put
If you like running your Wix or Squarespace site yourself and it brings in work, keep it. A move is worth it when you'd rather somebody else did it, or when you want a site you can take with you. Here's the honest comparison.
